Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is recruiting for Class 2 Drivers in Farnham to work with a client providing waste disposal and recycling services.

You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle, assist with loading, and follow safety procedures during daily routes. Applicants should have 12 months Class 2 experience, UK residency, a valid DCPC and Digi-tacho, and up to 6 points on their licence.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months Class 2 experience.
• UK resident; able to travel to site.
• Hold a valid DCPC and Digi-tacho card; no DD/TT/DR/CD/IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
• Collect refuse from daily local routes.
• Assist with manual handling of bins and loading.
• Perform vehicle checks at start and end of shift.
• Work safely around pedestrians and other road users.

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Farnham to work with our client, who provide all types of business with commercial waste disposal and recycling. Previous experience working in the waste industry would be beneficial.

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Driving and operating a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
• Collecting refuse from different local areas each day
• Working with a loading crew (handballing)
• Assisting with the manual movement of domestic wheelie bins
• Working safely around pedestrians, traffic, and other road users
• Completing vehicle checks at the start and end of your shift

About you:

• You will need to be reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
• You must be comfortable working as part of a team and assisting with physical/manual work when required
• You must have good communication skills
• You must have a positive attitude

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
