Job summary

Driver Hire in Horley is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client in delivering logs, coal and kindling to local customers. The role runs Monday to Friday with start times around 6:00am and pays £19 per hour.

You will handle loading and unloading, perform multi‑drop deliveries to garages, supermarkets and some residential addresses, and maintain a professional, safety‑minded service. A Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence with CPC and tachograph card is required; temp-to-perm

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence.
• CPC and digital tachograph card required.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be advantageous.
• Physically fit for loading/unloading and handling products.

Pay: £19.00 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday, starting at approximately 6:00am

Position: Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established company based in Horley, delivering logs, coal and kindling to customers across the local area.

The majority of deliveries are made to Garages and supermarkets, with occasional residential deliveries also required.

The Role

• Monday to Friday work
• Start times are usually around 6:00am
• Delivering logs, coal and kindling
• Predominantly residential deliveries, with some commercial work
• Loading and unloading products at customer premises
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently

The Ideal Candidate

• Hold a valid Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence
• Have a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be an advantage
• Physically fit, as the role involves loading/unloading and handling products
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Comfortable working independently and managing a daily delivery schedule
