Job summary

Driver Hire Gatwick in Horley is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver for a Monday to Friday role with start times around 6:00am. You will predominantly perform residential deliveries of logs, coal and kindling, with some commercial work, and you may move into a permanent position for the right person.

The position offers consistent hours and a temp-to-perm opportunity, with approximately 10 deliveries daily and a focus on safe, professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence.
• Have a valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries would be an advantage.
• Physically fit for loading/unloading and handling products.
• Good customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Comfortable working independently and managing a daily delivery schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver logs, coal and kindling to customers in the local area.
• Predominantly residential deliveries with some commercial work.
• Load and unload products at customer premises.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete relevant delivery paperwork.

Class 2 Driver - Horley

Location: Horley

Pay: £19.00 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, starting at approximately 6:00am

Position: Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established company based in Horley, delivering logs, coal and kindling to customers across the local area.

The majority of deliveries are made to Garages and supermarkets, with occasional residential deliveries also required.

The Role

• Monday to Friday work
• Start times are usually around 6:00am
• Approximately 10 deliveries per day
• Delivering logs, coal and kindling
• Predominantly residential deliveries, with some commercial work
• Loading and unloading products at customer premises
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork

The Ideal Candidate
