Job summary

The Best Connection (Newcastle) are seeking a reliable Class 2 (Cat C) HIAB Driver for our established client in the North Shields area.

This role offers consistent, ongoing work with a reputable building materials specialist. Weekly pay, a pension, 28 days annual leave and straightforward registration are included. Start times typically from 08:00 with some Saturdays available.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Licence is required.
• Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR HIAB certificate is required.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card are required.
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (No DD/DR/IN).
• Good knowledge of the local North East road network.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a Class 2 vehicle.
• Delivering and collecting building products to sites across the local area.
• Operating the HIAB crane for loading and unloading.
• Ensuring all loads are secure and paperwork is completed accurately.

The Best Connection (Newcastle) are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 (Cat C) HIAB Driver for our long-standing client based in the North Shields area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for consistent, ongoing work with a reputable building materials specialist.

The Role:

• Safe operation of a Class 2 vehicle.
• Delivering and collecting building products to sites across the local area.
• Operating the HIAB crane for loading and unloading.
• Ensuring all loads are secure and paperwork is completed accurately.
• Adhering to all tachograph and road safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Licence.
• Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR HIAB certificate.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (No DD/DR/IN).
• Good knowledge of the local North East road network.

Pay and Hours:

• Basic Rate: £16.50 per hour.
• Mon-Fri Overtime: £24.75 per hour (After 8 hours).
• Saturday Rate: £24.75 per hour (All hours worked).
• Sunday & Bank Holiday: £33.00 per hour (All hours worked).
• Hours: Monday to Friday with regular Saturdays available.
• Start Times: Typical start times from 08:00am.
