Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking a Class 2 driver for our Alnwick branch. You will deliver building materials and timber to trade and residential sites locally, perform daily vehicle checks, and represent the company professionally at delivery points.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00, with an hourly rate of £16.50 and overtime at £24.75/hr after 8 hours per day. Benefits include weekly pay, online payslips, 28 days leave pro-rata, and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• HIAB Certification (ALLMI or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience in the construction supply or merchant industry is highly desirable.

The Best Connection are currently seeking a Class 2 (Category C) Driver for our client, a leading independent Builders' Merchant, based at their Alnwick branch.

The Role:

• Delivering building materials and timber to trade and residential sites across the local area.
• Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks and maintaining records.
• Acting as a professional face of the company at the point of delivery.

Shift Pattern & Pay:

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 17:00.
• Hourly Rate: £16.50 per hour.
• Overtime: Paid at x1.5 (£24.75 per hour) after 8 hours worked each day.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid HIAB Certification (ALLMI or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes).
• Experience in the construction supply or merchant industry is highly desirable.
