HGV CLASS 2 DRIVERS NEEDED – IMMEDIATE START

Are you looking for a reliable driving role with consistent hours and long-term prospects? We are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer that supplies products to the construction sector nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional transport operation offering regular work and immediate starts.

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to builders’ merchants, construction sites, and commercial customers across the UK. Working to planned routes and schedules, you’ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Drivers can expect to complete between 4 and 8 deliveries per day using curtain-sided vehicles. The role involves very little physical work, with responsibilities typically limited to assisting with the unloading process by opening and securing the vehicle curtains when required.

All drivers will be expected to carry out daily vehicle safety inspections, adhere to all transport and health & safety regulations, complete delivery documentation accurately, and maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers.

Duration: Full-time work with regular hours, a dependable workload, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position within a well-established and growing business.

Hourly Rate: Pay & Benefits

• Competitive pay rate of £16.00 per hour for all standard hours worked
• Enhanced overtime rate of £21.85 per hour after 40 hours

Experience & Qualifications

To be considered for thsi role you must have the following

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• A current Driver CPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
• A minimum of 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
• A solid commercial driving background with the ability to work confidently and efficiently from day one
