Job summary

Consult2Recruit is recruiting for a Class 2 Driver in Letchworth to safely deliver and collect vehicles and trailers for business customers. You will perform pre/post-journey checks, complete paperwork, and maintain strong customer service.

The role offers a permanent, Monday-to-Friday schedule with 45 hours per week, 7:30am-5:30pm, and a salary of £36,000 per annum. Immediate start available for a reliable, self-driven driver.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with CPC and tachograph card.
• Proven Class 2 driving experience in a commercial setting.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and transport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer collections from customers and sites
• Completing vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are on time and professional
• Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service
• Complying with transport, road safety and company procedures
• Reporting any vehicle defects promptly

Class 2 Driver - Vehicle Deliveries & Collections

Location: Letchworth

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm

Contract: Permanent

Our client is a well-established specialist in vehicle rental, supporting businesses across a wide range of industries.

With a strong reputation within the commercial vehicle sector, the business operates a network of locations across the UK and internationally, providing customers with reliable vehicles and professional service.

Due to continued growth and operational requirements, they are now looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join their Letchworth team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend work.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of vehicles and trailers to and from customers, sites and other locations.

• Delivering and collecting vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer collections from customers and operational sites
• Completing relevant vehicle checks before and after journeys
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed professionally and on time
• Completing delivery paperwork and other relevant documentation
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service
• Complying with all relevant transport, road safety and company procedures
• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues promptly

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• A good understanding of UK road networks and transport regulations
• A professional and customer-focused approach
• Good communication skills
• A reliable and responsible attitude
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

Experience with commercial vehicles, refrigerated vehicles, trailers or vehicle collections would be advantageous.
