Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic in West Thurrock is recruiting for a permanent Class 2 Driver. You will work in a dray crew with a Driver's Mate, visiting multiple sites to deliver our products.

Role reports to Transport Manager. Expect about 48 hours per week with start times not earlier than 4:30am, and a salary of £44,088 with OT paid at 1.5x. Extensive benefits include life assurance, pension, and more.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Class 2 Driver's Licence and CPC Driver Card.
• Up to date knowledge of the Highway Code and road safety rules.
• Knowledge of the local region and route planning.

Responsibilities

• Drive lorries up to 26 tonnes to deliver stock to customers.
• Support Drivers Mates and Warehouse teams with loading and unloading.
• Build strong relationships with customers and other departments.
• Use local knowledge to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Prioritise health and safety in all processes.

About the role:

As a Class 2 Driver with Carlsberg Britvic, you will be working in a dray crew, alongside your partnered Driver's Mate as you visit different sites, interacting with different customers on route whilst delivering our amazing products!

Role Responsibilities:

• Driving lorries up to 26 tonnes, delivering stock to our customers.
• Supporting the Driver’s Mates and Warehouse team in loading/unloading stock.
• Building brilliant working relationships with your customers and other departments.
• Using your knowledge of the local region to safely deliver on-time.
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Acurrent and valid Class 2 Drivers Licence and CPC Drivers Card.
• Up to date knowledge of the Highway Code and driving (health and safety) legislation.
• Knowledge of local region.
• Manual handling experience and/or training desirable, however full training will be provided during induction.
