Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking Class 2 Drivers in Northampton to support a leading logistics and homeware retailer. You will work in a 2-person crew delivering to customer homes, with starts between 04:00–06:00 and shifts pattern described. A clear DBS check is required before starting.

You must hold a Class 2 licence with at least 2 years of commercial driving, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards, and be eligible to work in the UK. DBS and compliance checks apply.

Qualifications

• You must have a Class 2 driving licence and at least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• You must hold a valid UK DCPC card and a Digi-tacho card.
• UK residents only; up to 6 points on licence considered, DD/TT/DR/CD/IN endorsements not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Cat C) vehicle.
• Perform multi-drop deliveries in a 2-person crew.
• Deliver to customer homes and handle heavy items.
• Conduct vehicle checks and complete required paperwork.

Shift pattern of either 4 out of 7 days or Tuesday to Saturday (5 out of 7) with start times between 04:00 and 06:00

As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for people who are clean and tidy and havethe ability to deal with different types of people.

About you

Youmusthave your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 2 years experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements and you will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test and also a driving assessment.
