Job summary

HireGiant is recruiting an experienced LGV Class 2 Driver for a client in Belper, Derbyshire. The role covers general haulage, some pallet network runs, and involves early starts and 8–12 hour shifts on weekdays.

You will hold a Class 2 licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph, complete daily vehicle checks, and ensure paperwork is in order. PAYE pay rate £16.95–£17.08 per hour, with weekend shifts optional.

Qualifications

• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Safety boots and Hi-Vis vest
• New passes welcome

Responsibilities

• Making goods deliveries using a LGV2 Box or curtain vehicle
• Work is simple B2B and some C&D work; 5-7 drops per day
• Ensuring delivery is recorded and paperwork is in order
• Completing HGV vehicle checks
• Adhering to WTD and EU Tachograph rules while driving the HGV
• Working Monday to Friday (optional weekend shifts)
• Starting around 06:00 daily with shifts 9–12 hours

HireGiant is currently looking for an experienced HGV 2 Driver to work with our client based in Belper, Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for ongoing LGV work. The work is general haulage and some pallet network runs.

The Role:

As aLGV Class 2 Driveryou will be:

• Making goods deliveries using a LGV2 Box or curtain vehicle
• Work is simple B2B and Some C&D work 5-7 hits per day.
• Ensuring delivery is recovered and paperwork is in order
• Completing HGV vehicle checks
• Adhering to WTD and EU Tacho rules and regulations while driving the HGV truck
• Working Monday to Friday (optional weekend shifts available)
• Starting around 06:00am daily - shifts between 9-12 hours

Requirements:

• Class 2 licence entitlement
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Safety boots and Hi-Vis vest
• New passes welcome

Hours & Pay Rates for the Class 2 Driver (PAYE):

Monday to Friday shift pattern - 0400/0500am Start

Shift Length - 8-10 hours line

£16.95 - 17.08 per hour PAYE - (Monday to Friday)
