Job summary

HireGiant Ltd. is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in Belper, Derbyshire. The role focuses on general haulage with some pallet network runs and regular weekday shifts starting around 06:00 with long daily hours.

The role includes LGV2 box or curtain deliveries, simple B2B/C&D work, paperwork checks, daily HGV vehicle checks, and compliance with WTD and EU tachograph rules. Weekend work is optional.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence entitlement.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Safety boots and Hi-Vis vest.
• New passes welcome.

Responsibilities

• Making goods deliveries using a LGV2 Box or curtain vehicle.
• Work is simple B2B and Some C&D work 5-7 hits per day.
• Ensuring delivery is recovered and paperwork is in order.
• Completing HGV vehicle checks.
• Adhering to WTD and EU Tacho rules and regulations while driving the HGV truck.
• Working Monday to Friday (optional weekend shifts available).
• Starting around 06:00am daily - shifts between 9-12 hours.

Hours & Pay Rates for the Class 2 Driver (PAYE):

Monday to Friday shift pattern - 06:00am Start

Shift Length - 10-12 hours

£16.95 - 17.08 per hour PAYE - (Monday to Friday)
