Gregory Distribution Ltd is looking for a Class 1 Driver to perform nationwide UK deliveries on a curtain-sided trailer. You will ensure secure loading and use a handheld PDA for paperwork while staying in close contact with the transport team.

Nights away are a regular feature, with ongoing training to keep up with industry standards. A customer-focused approach and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Formación

• UK Class 1 CE Licence is required.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Customer service orientation is essential.
• Ability to work to deadlines and be a reliable team member.

About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Take on the challenge of collecting and delivering customers' products throughout the UK on a curtain-sided trailer.
• Master the art of load security with ratchet straps and part manual handling, ensuring every delivery is safe and secure.
• Leverage a handheld PDA to complete paperwork seamlessly and efficiently.
• Keep in constant contact with the transport team, offering updates on your progress and ensuring our customers' expectations are consistently met.
• Experience the thrill of nights away, making each journey unique and fulfilling.
• Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices, continuously improving your skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.

Competitive Salary: £38,287 - £41,032 per annum, depending on days worked. PLUS £2.75ph for all hours worked between 21:00pm and 04:00am and up to £5,200 per annum tax free night out allowance.

Shift Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 48 hours per week, various start times available.
