Gregory Distribution Ltd is recruiting a Class 1 Tramper Driver based in North Tawton. You will operate from North Tawton, Cullompton and Ernesettle depots and deliver products across the UK on curtain-sided trailers, ensuring loads are secured and paperwork is completed via handheld PDA.

The role requires a UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC and Tachograph Card, a customer‑focused approach, the ability to meet deadlines, and a willing, team‑oriented attitude with good geographic knowledge.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 CE Licence required.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience delivering loads to client sites is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive out of North Tawton, Cullompton and Ernesettle depots as required.
• Deliver loads throughout the UK on curtain-sided trailers.
• Ensure load security with ratchet straps and basic hand handling.
• Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
• Maintain contact with transport team and update customers.
• Enjoy nights away as part of the role.
• Attend regular training to stay updated with industry standards.

Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, Wednesday to Sunday and Sunday to Thursday shifts available.

About The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Will be working out of North Tawton, Cullompton and Ernesettle depots as and when required.
• Take on the challenge of collecting and delivering customers' products throughout the UK on a curtain-sided trailer.
• Master the art of load security with ratchet straps and part manual handling, ensuring every delivery is safe and secure.
• Leverage a handheld PDA to complete paperwork seamlessly and efficiently.
• Keep in constant contact with the transport team, offering updates on your progress and ensuring our customers' expectations are consistently met.
• Experience the thrill of nights away, making each journey unique and fulfilling.
• Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices, continuously improving your skills.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
