Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver in Lutterworth to deliver chilled and ambient loads to stores and petrol stations across the region. This is a long-term role with ongoing night shifts and weekend work available, designed for consistent, year-round partnership.

You will perform vehicle checks, maintain tachograph records, and drive to meet clients' professional standards. Onsite parking and company benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards).
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 licence + 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR, DD, IN).
• Weekend availability essential for 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Delivering both chilled and ambient loads stored in cages or palletised.
• 1-3 store deliveries, ambient or chilled loads.
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining digital tachograph records.
• Drive per client standards with training and coaching.
• Manage Working Time Directive and Driving Hours to meet compliance.
• Act as a professional face of the brand at stores.

Class 1 Night Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, as a Class 1 Night Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership in, Lutterworth. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities

• Delivering both chilled and ambient loads stored in cages or palletised
• 1-3 store deliveries , this can be ambient or chilled loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts

• Daily and Weekly Bookings
• PM starts between (Apply online only)
• Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must
• Weekend only work available
• Full time and part time opportunities

Benefits & Pay Rates

• Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks
• Double pay on Bank Holidays (up to £56.88ph)
• Increased holiday entitlement once first 12 weeks is completed

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 licence + 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR, DD, IN, offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
