Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a Class 1 Driver for an ongoing trunking role in Milton Keynes (MK17 8FF). The position offers day and night shifts with pay from £19.89ph to £20.45ph, with ongoing block bookings and onsite parking.

You will handle parcel and mail bulk loads, perform vehicle checks, and maintain tachograph records while upholding professional standards and customer service. Weekend work is essential in this 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driver Cards (DL, CPC and DigiCard) required.
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 licence + 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Willingness to work weekends and support a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Move parcel and mail bulk loads and perform trunking work.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks and maintain tachograph records.
• Adhere to clients' professional standards and stay compliant with WTD and driving hours.
• Represent the brand professionally when arriving at stores.

Class 1 Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting our client based in Milton Keynes, as a Class 1 Trunk Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership.

Role & Responsibilities

• Parcel & Mail Bulk Loads
• Trunking Work, minimum manual handling
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts: Monday to Friday. Available start times: 15:00, 16:00, 18:00, 18:30. Ongoing & Full Time Opportunity.

Pay Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Day Shift : £19.89ph (06:00 onwards)

Night Shift : £20.45ph (22:00 onwards)

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 licence + 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
