Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting professional Class 1 drivers for a long-term partnership in Lutterworth, supporting a major UK supermarket. You will deliver to stores and petrol stations across the region, maintaining a professional standard and accurate tachograph records.

Role includes 1–3 deliveries per shift, weekend availability, and on-site parking with a canteen. Inductions are available now and overtime rates apply after standard hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Previous store delivery experience preferred but not essential.
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Delivering chilled and ambient loads.
• 1–3 store deliveries per shift.
• Conduct vehicle checks and update tachograph records.
• Adhere to client standards and be the professional face of the brand at stores.
• Manage Working Time Directive and driving hours to stay compliant.

Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year-round stability)

Earnings: From £22.41ph up to £56.88ph

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, as a Class 1 Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership in, Lutterworth. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Delivering both chilled and ambient loads stored in cages or palletised
• 1-3 store deliveries , this can be ambient or chilled loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

• Daily and Weekly Bookings
• Various start times available AM and PM
• Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must
• Weekend only work available
• Full time and part time opportunities

Benefits & Pay Rates :

• Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks
• Double pay on Bank Holidays (up to £56.88ph)
• Increased holiday entitlement once first 12 weeks is completed

Monday to Friday STD £30.79ph & Overtime £38.71ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
