Job summary

Dawsongroup PLC is recruiting a Class 1 LGV/HGV driver for the Truck and Trailer division. You will deliver and collect vehicles, support branches and workshops, and help keep our rental operation moving with a professional, customer-focused approach.

You'll hold a UK Class 1 licence and DQC, perform daily vehicle checks, and adapt to a varied day while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current UK LGV/HGV Class 1 driving licence and Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Good customer-facing skills and professional conduct.
• Ability to complete basic forms and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect vehicles from customers, branches and workshop premises.
• Present vehicles for MOT and assist with parking equipment securely.
• Complete daily vehicle checks (oil, water, tyres) and report defects promptly.
• Adhere to driving rules and regulations, operate safely in various environments.
• Represent Dawsongroup professionally and handle diverse journeys.
