Job summary

Dawsongroup is seeking a Class 1 Driver to deliver and collect vehicles, support branches and workshops, and keep rental operations moving.

You will hold a UK LGV/HGV Class 1 licence and Driver Qualification Card, and your day will be varied with customer interactions and on-the-road duties. A safety‑minded, professional approach is essential.

About This Role

Are you a Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver or HGV Driver looking for a role where no two days are quite the same? As a Class 1 Driver with Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer, you will deliver and collect vehicles, support our branches and workshops, and help keep our rental operation moving.

• Deliver and collect vehicles from customers, branches and workshop premises.
• Present vehicles for MOT and assist with parking equipment securely.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, including oil, water and tyre condition.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents and traffic offences promptly.

About You

You will hold a current, valid UK LGV/HGV Class 1 driving licence and Driver Qualification Card, with a safe and professional approach to every journey. You will also be comfortable dealing with customers and adapting to a varied day.

• Able to complete tasks safely and within driving rules and regulations.
• Comfortable completing basic forms and paperwork.
• Pleasant, polite and professional when representing Dawsongroup.
• Flexible enough to handle different journeys, vehicles and supporting duties.
• Clean, tidy and prepared to follow required health and safety procedures.
