Job summary

Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our UK delivery and collection team. You will play a vital role in keeping our rental operations moving and delivering exceptional service to customers.

The role requires a valid UK LGV/HGV Class 1 licence and Driver Qualification Card, with a focus on safety, professionalism and flexibility across varied journeys and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect vehicles from customer sites, branches and workshops.
• Present vehicles for MOT and assist with parking to the correct areas.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Clean vehicles to company standards and support other duties as required.
• Assist with check in/out, office duties and transporting colleagues or guests.

Are you a Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver or LGV Driver looking for your next opportunity? As a Class 1 Driver with Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer, you will play an important role in keeping our rental operation moving, delivering and collecting vehicles while providing a professional service to our customers.

• Deliver and collect vehicles from customer sites, Company branches and workshop premises.
• Present vehicles for MOT and assist with parking equipment securely in the correct areas.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Clean vehicles inside and out to the required Company standard.
• Support with other duties when required, including check in andcheck outs, office duties and transporting colleagues or guests.

About You

You will hold a current, valid UK LGV/HGV Class 1 driving licence and Driver Qualification Card, alongside a safe and responsible approach to driving. We are looking for someone polite, professional and flexible, who can adapt to varied journeys, vehicles and customer interactions.

• Able to complete tasks safely and in accordance with driving rules and regulations.
• Comfortable completing basic forms and paperwork.
• Consistently pleasant, polite and professional when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Clean and tidy in appearance, with sensible non-slip footwear.
• Flexible and willing to support the wider team when required.
