Job summary

Dawsongroup is seeking a Class 1 driver to deliver and collect vehicles for our rental operation, maintaining professional service across customer sites and workshops.

You will be responsible for vehicle checks, MOT preparation, and supporting colleagues with various duties, upholding safety and regulatory standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Safely operate Class 1/HGV driving duties in line with regulations.
• Assist with paperwork and basic forms accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a professional, courteous manner with customers and colleagues.
• Present a clean and tidy appearance and wear sensible footwear.
• Be flexible and willing to support the wider team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Present vehicles for MOT and assist with parking equipment securely in correct areas.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.

About This Role

Are you a Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver or LGV Driver looking for your next opportunity? As a Class 1 Driver with Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer, you will play an important role in keeping our rental operation moving, delivering and collecting vehicles while providing a professional service to our customers.

• Deliver and collect vehicles from customer sites, Company branches and workshop premises.
• Present vehicles for MOT and assist with parking equipment securely in the correct areas.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Clean vehicles inside and out to the required Company standard.
• Support with other duties when required, including check in and check outs, office duties and transporting colleagues or guests.

About You

You will hold a current, valid UK LGV/HGV Class 1 driving licence and Driver Qualification Card, alongside a safe and responsible approach to driving. We are looking for someone polite, professional and flexible, who can adapt to varied journeys, vehicles and customer interactions. Not sure you meet every requirement?
