Job summary

Driver Hire Nottingham are recruiting an experienced Class 1 Driver for a client near Stapleford. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers regular work and potential permanent placement.

You will deliver beams and trusses across the Midlands, ensuring loads are secured and paperwork completed accurately, while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety compliance. Nights out may be required, with reliable, professional conduct expected.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card in-date.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Good driving record and reliability.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience delivering beams or similar loads is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver beams and trusses to various locations.
• Ensure loads are secured safely and correctly.
• Complete vehicle checks and required paperwork.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service.
• Work safely in line with transport legislation.
• Travel throughout the Midlands and beyond.

Driver Hire Nottingham are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join one of our clients based towards the Stapleford area.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for a Class 1 driver looking for regular work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of beams and trusses to customers across the Midlands and further afield.

The role will involve:

• Delivering beams, trusses and similar loads to various locations
• Ensuring loads are secured safely and correctly
• Completing vehicle checks and required paperwork
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Working safely and in line with all relevant transport legislation
• Travelling throughout the Midlands and occasionally further afield

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Have held your Class 1 licence for a minimum of 12 months
• Have an in-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Be driver neg with a good driving record
• Have previous experience delivering beams, trusses or similar loads - preferred but not essential
• Have a good understanding of load security and safe working practices
• Be reliable, professional and customer-focused
• Have the right to work in the UK
