Job summary

The Best Connection in Birtley is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for an ongoing temporary-to-permanent role. The position features trunk work, night shifts, and a 18:00 start from Monday to Friday with no weekend work. £16–£24 per hour PAYE, with holiday accrual and weekly pay.

Applicants should hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and Digi-tacho card, with a minimum of 2 years’ Class 1 experience for insurance purposes. This is a PAYE role with pro-rata leave and supporting benefits.

Our client based in Birtley has recently secured a prestigious new contract and is looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver for an ongoing position.

Job Details

• Class 1 Driver
• No load interaction

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 18:00 start time
• No weekend work

Pay

• £16.00 per hour (first 8 hours, PAYE)
• £24.00 per hour (after 8 hours, PAYE)
• Holiday accrued separately (not rolled into pay)
• Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate

Driver Requirements
