Job summary

DHL is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our UK supply chain operations. You will deliver goods safely and on time, and perform trunking between sites in line with Drivers' Hours regulations and the Highway Code.

Required: valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph card and at least 12 months' driving experience. You should be confident working independently and adept at drop-and-swap trailer movements.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• Minimum 12 months recent driving experience.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Complete regular vehicle safety checks.
• Carry out trunking runs between brewery sites and warehouses.
• Perform drop-and-swap trailer movements.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and the Highway Code at all times.

A typical day may involve:

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Completing trunking runs from the brewery to various sites such as warehouse feeds for dray operations
• Performing drop-and-swap trailer movements

This role would suit people who:

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have 12 months recent driving experience
• Are confident working independently, managing time well, and handling drop-and-swap trailer movements safely.
