Job summary

Ideal Recruit Ltd is seeking Class 1 drivers with at least 6 months of experience for a client based in Haydock. You will drive boxed trailers with a maximum of 2–3 drops, delivering to cash and carry outlets and corner shops. PPE is provided, including safety boots, hi‑vis vests, and steel toe caps.

Rates include PAYE with holiday pay. Day shifts from Monday to Friday are paid at £20.32 per hour, with overtime and weekend rates listed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 entitlement (cat CE).
• At least 6 months of Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 driving on boxed trailers with 2–3 drops.
• Deliver to cash and carry outlets and corner shops.
• Comply with PPE requirements (safety boots, hi‑vis vests, steel toe caps).

Job description

Ideal Recruit is looking for Class 1 drivers with min 6 months of experience for well established client based in Haydock.

Class 1 work on boxed trailers. Maximum 2-3 drops - delivery/collection.

Rates of Pay with hol included

Monday to Friday days - £20.32 p/h.
Overtime days after 9 hours - £30.48 p/h.
Sat/Sun days - £24.38 p/h.
Bank hol days - £40.64

Monday to Friday nights - £24.38 p/h.
Overtime nightss after 9 hours - £36.56 p/h.
Sat/Sun nights - £29.25
Weekend Overtime (days & nights) £36.56 p/h.
Bank hol nights - £48.75

PPE: Safety boots, vis vests, steel toe caps.

You will need to meet the below criteria to be considered for the vacancy:

• HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (category CE).
• At least 6 months of experience as a class 1 driver.
• Valid Driver’s CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points for minor endorsements.
