Job summary

DHL is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver for a Coop contract in Bristol. The role involves delivering chilled, ambient, and frozen goods across South Wales, the South West, and nearby regions, with early starts and 12-hour shifts.

You will hold a Class 1 license, Driver CPC, and tachograph card, with at least 6 months of HGV Class 1 experience, contributing to safe, efficient deliveries and vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving License (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have at least 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivering chilled, ambient and frozen goods to store.
• On Sundays, trunking DC to DC or shunting in the yard.
• Driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.
• Areas delivering to include South Wales, South West, edges of London, Portsmouth and Southampton.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks and manual handling when required.

Shift patterns: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 12 hour days, 4am start

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Delivering chilled, ambient and frozen goods to store.
• On Sundays, you will either be trunking DC to DC or shunting in the yard.
• Driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.
• Areas delivering to include all South Wales and South West, edges of London, Portsmouth and Southampton.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Complying with health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules, and vehicle regulations.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks.
• Manual handling will be required for this role.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
