Job summary

Barker Ross Group is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 PM driver based in Avonmouth (BS35). The role offers 4 shifts per week on a guaranteed 48-hour week, temp-to-perm opportunities, and a set rota. Pay ranges from £18.60 to £27.90 per hour with an uplift after 48 hours and potential Sunday flexibility.

You will operate an urban artic vehicle with 5–7 daily drops and handball duties. CPC, Digi Tacho, and UK licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho are required.
• UK driving licence is mandatory.
• At least 12 months Class 1 experience required.
• No IN10 or DR10 on licence; no TT99 on licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive urban artics to high street deliveries.
• Typically 5–7 drops per shift with handball involved (cages/baskets).
• Set shifts/rotas with up to 7 weeks ahead; Sunday flexibility; no Saturdays.

• Hourly rate of £18.60 - X1.5 Rate if you work a 5th shift (over 48 hrs)
