Job summary

Barker Ross Group is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 PM driver to join a global food company in the Avonmouth BS35 area. The role features set rotas with guaranteed hours and no Saturday work, with a potential move to permanent status.

You will operate an urban artic vehicle on high-street deliveries, typically 5–7 drops per shift, with handball involved. CPC, Digi Tacho, and a valid UK licence are essential, along with at least 12 months of Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho for Class 1 driving.
• UK driving licence required.
• At least 12 months Class 1 experience.
• No IN10 or DR10 on licence, No TT99.
• Maximum 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• High street deliveries with urban artic vehicle.
• 5–7 drops per shift.
• Handball involved – cages and baskets.
• Set shifts and rotas for up to 7 weeks.
• Sunday flexibility required; no Saturdays.

Temp to Perm opportunities Barker Ross are currently recruiting for Class 1 drivers with at least 6 months experience for a global food company based in BS35 Avonmouth area

• Hourly rate of £18.60 - X1.5 Rate if you work a 5th shift (over 48 hrs)
