Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver based in Bristol to support our UK logistics network. You will deliver chilled, ambient and frozen goods to stores, operate both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles, and perform duties in line with road and safety regulations.

The role includes trunking or yard shunting on Sundays and driving across South Wales, the South West, and nearby edges of London, with a focus on safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 driving license (C).
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• At least 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chilled, ambient and frozen goods to store on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays.
• Trunk or shunt in the yard on Sundays.
• Drive both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles as required.
• Cover routes in South Wales, South West, edges of London, Portsmouth and Southampton.
• Drive safely in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.

Pay Rate: £43,561.80 plus an additional responsibility bonus of £2,600 per year

Grade: P

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Friday to Monday, 48 hours per week, 12 hour days, 4am start

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays you will be delivering chilled, ambient and frozen goods to store.
• Sundays you will either be trunking DC to DC or shunting in the yard.
• You will be driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.
• Areas delivering too - All South Wales and South West, edges of London, Portsmouth and Southampton.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks.
• Manual handling will be required for this role.
