Gregory Distribution Ltd. is seeking a professional HGV driver for trunking loads between production facilities and the logistics hub, with nightly shifts on a 4on 4off rota.

The role emphasizes safe loading, real-time communication, and strong customer service at every delivery point. Applicants should hold a UK Class 1 CE licence with DCPC and a Digital Tachograph Card, and be comfortable with tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 CE licence to operate articulated vehicles.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph Driver Card required.
• Experience delivering loads to client sites is advantageous.
• Strong customer service and brand representation at stops.
• Ability to work to tight schedules and manage time effectively.
• Confident, polite communicator; collaborate with transport team across functions.
• Good understanding of UK road network, especially Wales and nearby regions.

About The Role

• Trunk packaging materials between production facilities and the central logistics hub, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.
• Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams.
• Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence, enabling you to operate articulated vehicles with confidence and professionalism.
• A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Previous experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.

• Competitive Salary: £17.50 per hour, based on 11.25 hours per shift. PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
