Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd in Bristol is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver on a days shift. You'll operate curtain side, box and refrigerated trailers to supply retail locations, ensure loads are secured, and perform thorough daily vehicle checks using the company phone.

You’ll stay in regular contact with the transport team to meet customer expectations and participate in ongoing training. The role offers a 4 on 4 off rota with 11-hour shifts starting early morning, potential overtime, and

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Using curtain side, box trailers and refrigerated, as well as single and double deck trailers, to transport goods to various retail locations.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
