Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. is hiring a professional Class 1 driver for Hereford. You will execute scheduled routes, ensure secure loading and conduct daily vehicle checks while delivering outstanding customer service to clients on site and over the phone.

Candidates should hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC, and Tachograph Card, with a strong focus on safety, deadlines, and teamwork. The role includes 4on 4off shifts with day and night start times and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled out-and-back delivery routes, ensuring punctual and efficient transportation of goods with timely return to the base, while maintaining route integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone to support the smooth execution of delivery operations.
• Master the art of load security with ratchet straps and part manual handling, ensuring every delivery is safe and secure.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
