Job summary

Boughey Logistics in the United Kingdom is seeking a professional HGV driver for a 5 in 7 rota that includes weekends. You will perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and ensure safe, timely deliveries across Cheshire and surrounding areas.

We offer weekly pay at £18.50 per hour, 33 days holiday, funded training, and a range of employee benefits within a growing group.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries and collaborate with the Boughey team on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift – complying with all HGV driving rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying with all HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required
