Job summary

Boughey Distribution is hiring at Nantwich for night-shift HGV drivers. You will perform pre-shift vehicle checks, ensure timely deliveries across Cheshire, and assist with yard tasks. A valid Category C&E license, CPC and tachograph card, and Class 1 experience are essential.

• Manoeuvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and secure loads; assist in yard duties.

Nantwich site working night shifts on a 5 on, 3 off shift pattern.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying with all HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• A valid category C&E license is essential
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previousexperience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
