Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Nantwich is seeking reliable HGV drivers to join our expanding fleet. You will complete pre-and post-shift vehicle checks, ensuring safe and timely deliveries across Cheshire and surrounding areas. You’ll manoeuvre trucks into loading bays, secure loads, and support yard operations as required.

On-site training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card required.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift – complying with all HGV driving rules to prevent damage.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading/unloading positions, securing loads and assisting in yard duties as required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yardincluding handballor pump truck deliveries whererequired

What will you bring?

• A valid category C&E license is essential
• Current CPC and tachograph cardwith a goodunderstandingof driver hours regulations
• Previousexperience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborateeffectively with the Boughey team on site
