Job summary

Boughey Logistics in Crewe on the Day shift is expanding our driver population on a 5 in 7 rota, with some weekends involved. Weekly pay is £18.50 per hour and 33 days of holiday per year.

Qualifications

• CPC card and tachograph knowledge essential.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and the Boughey team.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at start and end of each shift and comply with driving regulations.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Assist with yard duties and handball/pump truck deliveries when required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift -complyingwithall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• Current CPC and tachograph cardwith a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
