Job summary

Boughey Distribution is hiring drivers for the Newcastle-under-Lyme site on a Day shift, operating a 5 in 7 rota with some weekend work. You will complete vehicle checks, ensure safe delivery across Cheshire and surrounding areas, and support yard operations as needed.

Applicants must hold a CPC and tachograph card and have Class 1 driving experience, with strong communication to liaise with the Boughey team on site.

Qualifications

• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries at delivery and collaborate with on-site team.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift – complying with HGV driving rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, securing loads, and assisting in yard as required.

Newcastle under Lyme site on the Day shift working 5 out of 7 days per week!

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required
