RECRUITADRIVER LTD is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm role based in Normanton. You will transport worktop surfaces to customer sites across the UK in curtain-sided trailers, with some runs preloaded and others requiring you to load.

Responsibilities include securing loads, performing daily safety checks, and maintaining accurate delivery paperwork. Nights out are occasional and paid, with UK-wide routes and supportive transport planners.

Competenze

• Must hold valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Ideally 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience.
• Ideally 25 years of age or over for insurance purposes.
• Ideally fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to load a vehicle and undertake nights out.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.

Class 1 HGV Driver – Normanton – Temp to Perm

Location: Normanton

Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour

Hours: Approximately 11-12 hours per shift

Start Time: 08:30-09:00 for preloaded runs

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Nights Out: Occasional, with parking paid through a Snap account

ABOUT THE ROLE

Recruit A Driver is recruiting an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established client based in Normanton. The role involves transporting worktop surfaces to customer sites across the UK, including Newbury, Thurrock, Bury St Edmunds and Worcester. You'll be operating curtain-sided trailers, with worktops secured on A-frames. Some runs are preloaded, while others require drivers to load the vehicle themselves.

THE ROLE

• Complete nationwide deliveries using a Class 1 curtain-sided vehicle
• Ensure worktop surfaces are correctly secured and transported safely
• Load the vehicle when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

• Willingness to undertake loading duties and occasional nights out

• The client may consider some flexibility with the experience, age and licence requirements for the right candidate
