Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for shifts in Bournemouth (BH21). Roles include ad-hoc afternoon work, with overtime possibilities and weekend duties. Typical shifts are around 12 hours, with payrates: Mon-Fri £20.34/hr, Sat £25.94/hr, Sun £28.95/hr.

PAYE rates include holiday pay. Applicants should have 12+ months Class 1 experience, a clean licence (no more than 6 points, no excluded codes), and a valid Tachograph & CPC.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsements.
• Hold a valid Tachograph and CPC.
• Demonstrate good customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Present a neat, compliant and safety-conscious appearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle checks and routine safety inspections.
• Trunk goods to depots as required.
• Deliver safely to customers across the UK.
• Prioritise workload to meet time commitments.

GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers in Bournemouth (BH21) for one of the worlds leading parcel delivery networks.

Drivers shifts:

• We are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available
• Average 12 hour shift

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits:

• Monday to Friday: - £20.34 per hour *
• Saturday: £25.94 per hour *
• Sunday: £28.95 per hour *

* Please note that these pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots
• Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Have good customer service skills
• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
