Job summary

Boughey Distribution is recruiting for daytime shifts at Wardle on permanent contracts. You’ll join a 5 on 3 off pattern with start times between 4am and 10am, delivering across Cheshire. The role offers weekly pay, generous holidays, and progression opportunities within the NWF Group.

Qualifications

• Hold current CPC and tachograph card with solid knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication to handle customer queries and work with the Boughey team on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift and maintain compliance with HGV driving rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading and yard duties as required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• Current CPC and tachograph cardwith a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
