Job summary

Boughey Logistics in Crewe is expanding its driver team for day shifts on a 5 on 3 off pattern. You will perform pre-shift vehicle checks, handle safe deliveries across Cheshire, and assist with yard movements. CPC and Class 1 experience are essential, with strong customer-facing communication.

• CPC and tachograph card held with understanding of driver hours rules.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle checks at start and end of each shift.
• Ensure safe, timely delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Maneouvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and assist with yard tasks.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complyingwithall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• Current CPC and tachograph cardwith a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
