Job summary

Temp Station Ltd is recruiting for class 1 drivers to operate nights/afs from Edinburgh (EH12) for a national blue-chip client. Role involves trunk runs and trailer swaps with no manual handling, working Monday to Friday on set start times. Agency role with varying start dates and weekly availability.

Drivers must hold a full C+E licence, Digi Card and CPC, with at least 6 months experience. PAYE rate ranges £18.50–£20.73 per hour, Edinburgh area.

Qualifications

• Full C+E license, Digi Card and CPC are required.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience for insurance purposes.
• No DD, DR, IN events and no more than 6 points on your licence.

Responsibilities

• Trunk runs/trailer swaps at set hubs nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policy.
• Communicate with transport office regularly.
• Complete all paperwork in an orderly manner.
• Work per Working Time Directive (WTD) rules.

Temp Station is a logistics labour provider across the UK

Due to client growth we have a number of class 1 vacancies to work on afters/nights for one of our National Blue Chip clients running out of Edinburgh (EH12)

The average is around 3 to 4 trailer swaps, there is no manual handling involved

Key Responsibilities:

• The role will be a trunk run/trailer swaps at set hubs nationwide
• Ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is adhered to
• To communicate with transport office
• To complete all paperwork in an orderly manner
• To work to all WTD rules
• Set runs with timed drops working Monday to Friday on a range of start times
• Start dates various over the next few weeks
• This role is agency work and adhoc not guaranteed every week

Skills and Experience

• Full C+E license, Digi Card, and full CPC required.
• Minimum 6 months experience required for insurance purposes.
• Good communication skills required.
• No DD, DR, IN's and no more than 6 points on your license.
• We can also offer Temp Station drivers uniform and in-house CPC training at a reduced cost.
