Job summary

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based within the Sittingbourne area for X2 Class 1 Day Drivers. The role involves general haulage of recycled waste and paper, delivering to hubs in various locations, and is primarily a driving role with curtain/strap duties.

Shifts average 12 hours, with options for full-time or part-time hours. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 licence with at least 1 year’s experience, Digital Tachograph and CPC card, and be compliant with LGV

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 licence with minimum 1 year’s recent experience.
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points on licence or have DD/DR endorsements.
• Compliant to LGV rules and regulations.
• Good roadcraft and geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• General haulage of recycled waste and paper.
• Delivering to hubs in various locations.
• Mainly driving with opening/closing curtains and strapping the load.

Job description

Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based within the Sittingbourne area for X2 Class 1 Day Drivers.

The role will entail:

• General Haulage of recycled waste and recycled paper.
• Delivering to Hubs in various locations.
• The shifts are on average 12 hours long.
• Full time or part time hours available.
• Mainly a driving role including opening/ closing curtains and strapping of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Full Class 1 licence (Minimum 1 year’s recent driving experience).
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
• Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
• Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Shifts Available:

• Monday to Friday 06:00 start (Day shifts are available on Saturdays/ Sundays during our clients peak trading)

Pay Rates:

• £15.93 (Monday to Friday).
• £23.89 (Saturday)
• £31.86 (Sunday + Bank Holiday)

The rates are all PAYE and holiday accrual is in addition to the above rates and pay is weekly.

All candidates are required to pass our clients driving assessment +2 shifts paid training and once completed our client has work available all year round.

Other Compensation Information:

• £30,000 to £32,500 depending on experience
• Up to £12.86 per hour + Plus Holiday Accrual and Benefits
• £13 - £20 per hour depending on experience.
• Up to £27500 per annum + Company Benefits and Overtime
