Job summary

Driver Resource Ltd is recruiting a Class 1 night route driver to work on an ongoing basis across Mercia. The role involves manual handling of cages and loose items, operating a tail lift and scanner for PODs, and sticking to a fixed route with just-in-time drops.

You will complete 1-3 deliveries per shift, with start times around 06:00 or 07:00 depending on the route. The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV C+E licence, has up to 6 points on their licence, and is at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV C+E licence
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Minimum 21 years old

Responsibilities

• Manual work involving cages and loose items.
• Using a tail lift and scanner for proof of delivery (POD)
• Following a set route and adhering closely to “just-in-time” drops.
• Completing 1-3 deliveries per shift.
• Start time will be between 06:00/07:00, depending on the route.

Shifts; Monday - Friday

Start times; 06:00/07:00 (Approx 9-10 hours per shift)

Payrates - Holiday pay paid separately

06:00 - 20:00 £17.60

20:00-06:00 £20.83

The role includes:
