Job summary

Flexible People Ltd, based in Rugby (CV23), is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights for ongoing shifts. You will operate modern C+E vehicles, perform multi- and single-drop deliveries, and maintain rigorous safety standards. Access to transport to the Rugby depot is essential.

Pay rates include £21.23 per hour (Mon-Fri after 12:00), and £25.77 per hour on Saturdays and Sundays, inclusive of holiday pay. Regular shifts, full training, and a friendly recruitment team are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Daily vehicle safety inspections mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles.
• Complete a mix of single and multi-drop deliveries.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Follow Drivers' Hours, WTD and health & safety procedures.
• No nights out required.

HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights | Rugby | Up to £25.77 per Hour

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights to join a prestigious and well-established distribution contract based in Rugby (CV23).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights looking for ongoing work, competitive rates of pay and regular shifts with one of the UK's leading logistics operations.

As an HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights, you will be driving modern Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles, completing store deliveries, carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring deliveries are completed safely and professionally.

Please ensure you can commute to the Rugby (CV23) depot and have access to your own transport.

Pay Rates (Including Holiday Pay)

• Monday-Friday (PM starts after 12:00pm): £21.23per hour (inclusive of holiday)
• Saturday: £25.77 per hour (inclusive of holiday)
• Sunday: £25.77 per hour (inclusive of holiday)

HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights Duties

• Driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles.
• Completing a mixture of single-drop and multi-drop deliveries.
• Manual handling of cages where required.
• Working 10-12 hour shifts.
• No nights out required.
• Operating a variety of trailers including 8m, 10m and 13m curtainsiders, box trailers and double deck trailers.
• Receiving full moving floor training before operating double deck trailers.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects.
• Following Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD) and all health and safety procedures.

Shift Information

We have a variety of afternoon and evening start times available, offering flexibility and regular ongoing work for an HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights.

Paid Driver Assessment

• 3-4 hour assessment
• Paid upon successful completion

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach.
