Job summary

Howden is seeking a Claims Technician to join the Superyachts claims team. You will support day-to-day administration, process claim payments, prepare bordereaux, and maintain accurate records to ensure high-quality claims management.

The role requires meticulous data handling, strong Excel/Word skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a team environment. Hybrid working and a professional, collaborative culture are offered.

Responsibilities

• Process claim payments accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Prepare and submit bordereaux for a crew medical facility.
• Set up new claims on internal systems, ensuring complete and accurate records.
• Verify payment requests and supporting documentation prior to processing.
• Maintain claim diaries and monitor outstanding actions to support effective claims management.
• Close claims on systems promptly and accurately once all requirements have been completed.
• Produce regular claims statistics, reports and management information for the team.
• Support claims handlers with administrative activities that contribute to service delivery.
• Maintain high standards of data quality and record keeping across all claims files.
• Contribute to claims-related projects and process improvement initiatives as business requirements evolve.

The Role

The Claims Technician will sit within the Howden Superyachts claims team and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration and processing of claims activity.
