Senior Claims Executive - Marine/P&I Claims

Our client is seeking a Senior Claims Executive to join their successful team. In this role, you will handle various P&I claims, including complex cases, from notification to completion, within authority levels. This position supports their vision of being a leading marine insurance group, providing high-quality, cost-effective service.

Responsibilities include:

1. Following P&I Rules, maintaining files and reports with accurate and timely information.
2. Acknowledging receipt of claims, handling inquiries, and consulting with Members.
3. Developing relationships with Members and Brokers to manage claims effectively and cost-efficiently.
4. Issuing security and guarantees within authority limits, with Members' approval.
5. Conducting file audits, working with Loss Prevention on claims and Member reviews, and monitoring vessel conditions and crew performance.
6. Involving FD&D appropriately and informing Underwriting of unusual risks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience handling Marine Claims, ideally P&I Claims, or experience within the Maritime industry (ship owners, operators, traders).
• Relevant degree or equivalent (e.g., maritime studies, law degree).
• Strong team player with excellent service skills.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with members and colleagues.
