Job Description:

We have a new exciting opportunity within the Global Real Estate & Construction (GREAC) Division for an experienced Senior Claims Executive to join our Real Estate team.

The GREAC team, based primarily in London, delivers innovative insurance placements and risk management services for organizations involved in the real estate and construction sectors. This dedicated division, comprising more than [number] associates, is the largest and most established combined Real Estate and Construction team in the London Market.

In this role, you will provide claims handling services to an allocated portfolio of clients, support the overall claims service provision, and assist associates within the team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing claims to conclusion, liaising effectively with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other interested parties.
  • Providing advice on policy cover and necessary documentation/information for claims processing.
  • Negotiating with insurers to achieve beneficial and cost-effective settlements.
  • Ensuring claims are registered and updated on our systems.
  • Attending meetings as required.
  • Reporting major or sensitive claims to the responsible Account Executive.
  • Understanding claims notification and investigation procedures for each insurance class.
  • Documenting client-specific claim handling arrangements.
  • Providing feedback for insurer review meetings and developing relationships.
  • Building relationships with clients, insurers, lawyers, and loss adjusters.
  • Providing management information as needed.
  • Maintaining records and performing claims cleanses proactively.
  • Managing a diary system for outstanding workload.
  • Preparing and maintaining client claim experiences.
  • Undertaking tasks as directed, adhering to project plans and deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of commercial property claims.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to develop knowledge continuously.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical and investigative abilities.
  • Understanding of regulatory controls and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ASSET and Microsoft Office.
  • CII qualifications are advantageous.
