Job summary

Starr in the City of London invites an experienced professional to join our Financial Lines claims team. You will handle Professional Indemnity claims and contribute to strategy, reserving, and settlements, working with brokers, clients, and loss adjusters.

The role offers exposure to high-value, international claims, collaboration across underwriting and internal teams, and opportunities to expand technical knowledge in Directors & Officers, Financial Institutions, and Cyber.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Professional Indemnity class of business.
• Experience supporting claim strategies (investigation, reserving, resolution).
• Ability to manage a portfolio within delegated authority.
• Liaison with brokers, clients, and loss adjusters throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Support negotiations and settlements, including discussions on coverage and quantum.
• Maintain accurate and timely claims records and documentation.
• Assist with large loss reporting and internal updates.
• Collaborate with underwriting and other internal teams to deliver high standards of service.
• Progress towards ACII or equivalent qualification.
