Ipsum seeks a Civils Drainage Engineer to cover the Midlands region with regular travel. You will respond to drainage emergencies, investigate faults, perform unblocking and repairs, and install new drainage assets.

You will contribute to a high-quality service while upholding safety and regulatory standards. The role requires proven drainage experience, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Proven drainage industry experience essential.
• Full UK driving licence required or expected.
• CCTV drainage survey and high-pressure jetting qualifications preferred.
• Experience with social housing/local authority contracts desirable.

Responsabilités

• Attend emergency and planned drainage work within agreed response times.
• Investigate and diagnose drainage faults, blockages, flooding and system failures.
• Carry out drain unblocking using rods, high-pressure jetting and specialist tools.
• Repair/replace damaged pipes, gullies, manholes and interceptors.
• Undertake excavations and reinstatement works as needed.
• Install new drainage systems and associated infrastructure.
• Conduct CCTV surveys to identify defects and recommend remedial actions.
• Complete rehabilitation works including patch lining and pipe repairs where qualified.
• Identify root ingress, collapsed drains and structural defects.
• Prepare accurate electronic job reports and photographic records.
• Ensure works meet health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
