Job summary

Ipsum Utilities Limited is seeking a Civils Drainage Engineer to respond to drainage emergencies across the Midlands. You will diagnose faults, unblock drains and carry out repairs using jets and rods, with CCTV surveys and reinstatement work where needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the drainage industry and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Experience in blocked drain clearance and drainage repairs.
• Knowledge of foul water, surface water and sewer networks.
• Experience using high‑pressure water jetting equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence with readiness for site travel.

Responsibilities

• Attend emergency and planned drainage works within agreed response times.
• Investigate and diagnose drainage faults, blockages, floods and system failures.
• Carry out drain unblocking and repairs using rods, jets and specialist tools.
• Undertake excavations and reinstatement works when required.
• Conduct CCTV drainage surveys and prepare reports with photographs.
